Do you keep the alt text of the old image files or do I have to type them all again?

I'm using Shopify and wondering if your service automatically keeps all the alt texts of the old image files after compressing them? If not then I think it would be really helpful and time saving if you can add that feature before I start compressing any pictures.

And btw the Shopify app is not working atm: "Unable to resolve the server's DNS address."

Hi,

The problem has been fixed today regarding latest shopify API update. The meta/alt data will not not be affected by an image compression.
Alt data are stored in database and we just replace existing images by an optimized one. ;)
