Hi,

Really interested in this for obvious reasons. However, I'd like to ask that whilst I know that your extension will optimise images that I already have installed and in use on my Joomla site... does it create a variant of the original image(s) file name, or does it keep the same file name as the original image(s) were named before the optimisation?

I ask, as of course if it does take on new image names, this would surely make it a terrible pain to go through MANY images and alter all the URL links in articles, modules etc.

I look forward to your reply to the above.

Regards,

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us.

Of course not :) Here's the process:
The Joomla component index the images you have selected (you can include/exclude some server folders). Then images are sending on our server for the compression, finally a compressed version of the image replace the original one on your server.
No compression or double image storage is made on your server, to avoid performance issues.

In case you make a mistake you can revert the images to the original one during one month (we keep one month image backup).

Cheers,
