I need to optimize about 10000 images, then a small amount ongoing. So to get them all done, how many at a time can i upload on your site to optimize, or what is the best way to do large quantity?

Cheers

Hi,

To do that it's better to use the Joomla component, it'll be done automatically in a background task.

I tried the component on my joomla site but it just slowed the site down to a crawl with masses of requests when i was only trying out a hand ful of images, here is what hosting people said.

There are a lot of requests for the following script which is consuming a very high amount of CPU resources.
index.php?option=com_imagerecycle&task=image.startOptimiz

So figured can still use you via your site. Will avoid using your component on my site so can you suggest best way for me?

Hi,

You can deactivate automatic optimization on the component setting page.
Then you can optimize manually from the component page the images you want to optimize.

Uploading to our site then reuploading the optimize image to your site for 10000 image is really not feasable.

You could export your image to a local server, proceed all images on your local server with the joomla or standalone script and sent it back to your production server.

Best regards.
