need to optimize all images, not just products

We are working on a new version of our application to include all the media of a Shopify shop.
Currently we can only optimize the product images.
We hope to deliver this version before the end of the year.

It's already the case you can in the last version optimize products and assets images.

As Shopify is completely hosted solution, they only allow us to use a specific API with limited endpoints.
Because of that there is some limitations and specifications.

Shopify creates thumbnails of the source image that we optimize. The Shopify API doesn't allow us to directly optimize thumbnails. In this case thumbnails could be a little less optimized than ImageRecycle would have done directly if we had access to this generated thumbnails.

Second thing, you'll see in Google Page Speed that the images need to be resized and optimized.
This is not related to imageRecycle or even image optimization.
It means that your image is resized with css/html attributes directly into your html page.
Most of the time Shopify themes uses wrong sizes for images, even sliders uses full width images to be responsive. That's what Google Page Speed is complaining about.
