Optimization has been disabled due to errors on first run. How do I re-enable optimization please?

Hi,

Please make sure that you still have remaining quota from the plugin configuration then re-enable the optimization.
If it does not work, please drop us a support ticket.

Thanks, it was the re-enabling which I was having problems with. But I've worked it out now and am impressed by the degree of optimization. It does seem to have pulled-in a lot of images though?

It's found about 2,300 images where as I've 'only' got 100 or so uploaded. I sorted them so I could just find the largest images and have optimised them one by one with bulk edit. Would it be that wp stores different sizes of images - I think I read that somewhere?

Hi,

Yes indeed when you upload an image, WordPress generates at least 3 new sizes (listed in your configuration): thumbnail, medium and large size. The system also keep the original file. So one image uploaded = 4 images on the server. And this is the minimum as some other plugins may generates their own size like WooCommerce, gallery plugins...
