  2. Joomla extension question
  3. Tuesday, 06 September 2022
I installed the extension on a test site running Joomla 4.2.2. I selected two files to optimize (I thought). Now, when I go to the component, it's constantly refreshing. When I go to my account here, it's listing pages and pages of files. Yet the quota and api link says I haven't used any quota at all.

Does the extension optimize the files on my server? Or do I have to upload them all after your site optimizes them? And what is causing the component to constantly refresh.

Hi,

The Joomla image compression should be automatic for new images, and also you can run a full compression on existing images.
The refresh is not normal, and I Think that's the base of the problem. Could you send a support ticket using the menu My Account > Support ticket?

The developer will take a look at it.

I opened a ticket, but you didn't really answer my question. Does the extension optimize the images on my server? Or does it download them and optimize them, and then I have to upload them?

I installed the new version and saw this warning message:
No checksum found on the update server.

Please answer my question. Where are the images stored? On your server or mine?

Hi,

For all technical issue, please use the ticket system.
About the image storage, it's stored on your server. The images are sent to our compression server then send back to your server.
